My Heroic Break

Jk....It's Not That Deep..

My Heroic Break

This past week was the first time I’ve taken a break from writing since starting this research a little over a year ago. The support since then has been incredible.

What began as a simple way to share my research has evolved into a platform for helping others understand market behavior through data, context, and discipline.

After writing every week for over a year, you start to think about what to write next. You get into this “content mode,” where everything becomes a potential post or lesson.

So when people take a break, they often feel the need to turn it into something cinematic.

A heroic, life-changing story arc, as if market research were like fighting crime in Gotham.

For me, I’ve grown my following by being authentically me. I’m not that guy.

I know storytelling sells. But I’m not here to sell a story about me.

I’m here to tell the story of the market not through hyperbole or self-mythology, but through data, context, and relevance.

The truth is simple: my wife and I were in the process of moving, and it just made sense to take the week off. That’s all there is to it.

What did stand out, though, was how refreshing it felt to realize just how unimportant I am to the market.

The market went up this week. My portfolio went up. And I did nothing.

No blogs. No research. No charts. Yet it all kept moving.

It’s easy to forget that when you’re in the day-to-day grind, especially in a bull market, time spent in front of a screen doesn’t make prices go higher.

I do the research to understand the message of the market and align my positioning with it. The market does the actual work. That’s the relationship.

After a week off, I’m recharged and pumped to be back. I’ve already gone through a couple hundred charts this morning, The Sunday Stalk List might have 50 charts this week.

As for the market itself, not much has really changed.

Offense is still on the field. Breadth remains strong. Leadership remains healthy.

It’s a Bull market, and Bull markets can be boring. That’s not a flaw. That’s a feature.

Enjoy the weekend because the market’s going to do what it does Monday regardless.

The Sunday Stalk List | Ep. 18

If you want clean charts, clear setups, and tactical insights — this one’s for you.

It hits inboxes every Sunday so you know exactly what to keep an eye on for the week ahead.

The early feedback has been 🔥 and we’ve already tagged some big winners.

Cheers,
